At Ronan, junior Brad Palin drained a pair of free throws with 3.2 seconds left to lift the Broncs to the Class A nonconference win.
Following Palin's free throws, Ronan inbounded the ball but turned it over without getting off a shot. The ending was anticlimactic for the Chiefs, who put together a gallant comeback after trailing by 10 in the third frame.
Graham Silcher scored a game-high 14 points to lead Hamilton (1-2). Cody Lewis added 10 points and Palin eight.
Lucas Black tallied 12 points for Ronan (2-1).
